Why does the hair on the back of my neck get all sort of funny feelin when you think the sex of the person doing the talking matters..... That is a cheap shot to send over the bow of this cowboy that was for the ERA..... "somewhat different" candy coats the descrimination but I never felt that you had to have testicular cancer to "truely" understand testicular CA....... He is not a *man*, ministering to a *woman*.... we are sonographers dealing with patients.... verstandin ??? I have special relations with patients cause I'm a sonographer....it has nothing to do with my gender..... understand ??? In reguards to CYA.... I leave the tape running when I smell a potential problem.
The sonographer,
formerly known as Mark :-)
>> Hi, Markie-Daddy! Come on, Markie! You know what I mean... I was only pointing out that men have to be extremely sensitive to women patients. Any comment can be mis- construed and the sonographer can be placed in a very awkward position. After all, we do not know the full histories of our patients... Many of them have been physically and sexually abused or maybe even raped. The patient may be mentally disturbed and may have ambivalent feelings about the opposite sex. The sex of the person doing the talking matters, just like the age of the person doing the talking matters. Or the level of education of the person talking... Hey, I live here in the Big Apple. We get ALL kinds! Sorry to say, but I think men sonographers are particularly vulnerable to a woman who wants to take aim with a false accusation. That's all I meant! And yes, I probably HAVE Alzheimer's disease! What is it, anyway? I forget....! But I do remember the ERA, and thanks for your support, Markie my cowboy! I knew that was a sensitive subject, but I thought I would dive in anyway. Reading my message over, it sounds a little preachy. I'm no expert at life...just saying what I think. No arrows meant at the men sonographers. Just pointing out the obvious. Diana Ross

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
