I am Joann Murphy RDMS,RVT,RDCS. I Work in a rural hospital in Alabama. We are very restricted about what we can tell the patient. I a patient happens to read the screen and see "breech" typed on the screen heaven help you. I personally restrict the number of family members in the exam room to one at a time. They can switch out if there are more than one. I am very willing to take the time to point out all the "cute stuff" but I also make it clear that my sole purpose for performing the exam it to make sure that baby's anatomy is all present and accounted for. We are allowed to give the sex of the baby, EDC, and some photos. Overall, I think all involved have a wonderful scan!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
