Lawson: Fetal cells in Maternal circ. From: MS GAIL M HART (YTDP43A@prodigy.com)Tue Aug 25 14:20:14 1998
re lawson<<< I sleep a lot better knowing Maxx (our son to be) appears normal by amino and my ultrasound....... now about circumcision... That we are doing it so our son "looks" like the other kids has me worried..... aren't there more nerve endings in that foreskin than in the hippocampal gyrus??? <<<< well, theat's the important stuff -- heart, lungs, brain etc.. but re circumcising so your guy will look like the other guys ----- that depends on where he will live the of his life! A huge variation by region. in my region It's running a pretty strong 3 to 1 ratio of natural to cut. Might still be the oposite though in the southeast USA. I think it was close to 50/50 nationwide last I heard. There's been a big drop in the last decade.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
