Lawson: Fetal cells in Maternal circ. From: MARK LAWSON (lawson98@juno.com)Mon Aug 24 18:31:31 1998
Howdy.... anybody... hear what the latest is on that urine fraction thang??? Last I heard was that it was in the works.... Isn't it amazing that some of the babies cells circulate in the mom and we can go find them??? wow... I want to invest in that company... that piece of mind *is* worth it.... I sleep a lot better knowing Maxx (our son to be) appears normal by amino and my ultrasound....... now about circumcision... That we are doing it so our son "looks" like the other kids has me worried..... aren't there more nerve endings in that foreskin than in the hippocampal gyrus??? And Jim if you want to stir up talk.... at what size of 12 wk. nuchal fold thickening do you talk about it ??? I'm a fan for 12 and 20 wk. scans.... thats what I'd do with my wife.... Really more like every other week.... I'd always said I'd look every week... but the reality is every other..... Yikes... saw nuchal cord at 21wk the other day.... scanned 24 hrs later.....GONE !!!! Gee whiz..... could there be some things I don't want to know???? Nah..... Mark... P.S.. Roberta.... time for the first ultrasound on the internet.... wouldn't it be great to enter routine scans from around the world.... what that would do for the standard of care......I do believe I hold the worlds record for fastest fetal sex determination.... under 1 sec....... touch the belly in the right spot, lift the crystal right off...... call the sex...... the spot I use is just below the navel 2cm left of midline...... but then we tell patients what they had for lunch also and have a good predictive value !!!!! but that's another story ...... life is good.....gotta scan man.......m.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
