Comment on the Case Presentation "Shelf": On 8/10/98 I again scanned this 31 year old G5 P3 SAB1, now 27 weeks 3 days. The images presented in "Shelf" were done 5/29/98. On 8/10/98 there was no evidence at all of the previous shelf. The placenta looked normal in every respect. The growth of the fetus was normal, and no abnormality of any kind could be found! I will ask the ob provider to look carefully at the placenta upon delivery, and I will give you an update at that time. Joseph A Worrall MD RDMS

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
