Audrey, Go to the Ultrasound Forum at http://forums.obgyn.net/forums/ultrasound/ <http://forums.obgyn.net/forums/ultrasound/> . Scroll down toward the bottom of the page and do a search for your topic, it has been discussed there already. I would also suggest you do a search for "Spangler"; Nancy Spangler is a real expert on sonohysterography and she has commented on the topic.

You should also go to the SDMS Web site and look at the schedule for the upcoming conference in Orlando. On Thursday, September 17, 1998 (1:00-5:45 PM) there is a series of pre-conference tutorials that discuss Sonographic Contrast Agents, there is at least one talk that is titled: "Hysterosonography (Sonohysterography): Indications & Applications. You can request information on the conference at: http://www.sdms.org/meetings/annual.htm <http://www.sdms.org/meetings/annual.htm> or call: 972-239-7367 Good luck.

Thanks for the professional credentials. However, this is not just for me, but we operate under democratic anarchy. And we even have a few rules!!! Since this is supposed to be for medical professionals, the only way we can identify ourselves as such is to post our professional identification or credentials. Of course, we realize that any old lawyer could lie and put M.D. or RDMS or both behind their name... but a lawyer wouldn't do that, would she? :-)

Below is the site for the Ultrasound@OBGYN.net <mailto:Ultrasound@OBGYN.net> Forum guidelines, I quote them in part below. http://forums.obgyn.net/forums/ultrasound/guidelines.html <http://forums.obgyn.net/forums/ultrasound/guidelines.html> "The Ultrasound forum is intended for professionals only. If you are not a professional and have a question, please visit the Women's Health Forum to post it and please wait for a reply. Mostly creators of Ultrasound solutions and medical professionals are expected to participate in this forum. Medical vendors are encouraged to participate and share product information but direct, broadcasted marketing posts are not allowed. "

Subject: hysterosonography

Hello Sono Cyberspace!!! I need some information please!!! A physician I work with asked metodayif I have ever done Hysterosonography. I have not. He wants to start doing these prior to D&E on women who have chronic periods, and a thickened endometrial lining. Does anyone one have any words of wisdom on this topic??? Thanks for your consideration. Audrey Mendenhall, RDMS<RDCS<RVT (for Terry's benefit!!!) :) Montana

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
