large fetal heartFrom: Nancy Hilliard (daisy@psnw.com)Tue Aug 11 23:45:55 1998
Souldn't the heart only take up one-third of the chest cavity? What should I have done that might prove or disprove that the heart was enlarged? or is this a subjective call? Do delivering doctors or pediatricians have ways to detect enlarged hearts? This baby was full term, but small in size, seems to be doing fine. NH

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
