Dear YTDP43A@prodigy.com; <mailto:YTDP43A@prodigy.com;> No, it is not OK.

The Ultrasound@OBGYN.net <mailto:Ultrasound@OBGYN.net> Forum is for Professional Issues only between professionals.

The Women's Health Forum is for individuals to ask about personal health issues.

While your information was reasonable, we are trying to keep the OBGYN.net site organized so that we can find what we are looking for. In the future it would be preferable to either forward the question to the Women's Health Forum and then go there to answer it... better would be to have the individual re-post to the forum so that they will know where to find responses. In this way a lay person can not only get professional advice, but others who have similar questions can also read the answers. Also, on the Women's Health Forum there are more likely to be others who have had similar conditions that can offer support to a worried patient.

Thanks. Terry J. DuBose, Chair Ultrasound@OBGYN.net

(I guess this will go to the whole list, rather than to Carolyn -- since this is how my email works. Hope that's OK with folks.) <snip>

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
