Peace, Terry J. DuBose, M.S., RDMS -- Congratulations to Julia Drose for recieving the BRAACO Diagnostic Research Award, co-sponsored by the SDMS! Limited funding exists for sonographers performing research. If anyone knows of funding sources please pass them along to the group or to me personally. Jim Baum, many months ago, suggested that NIH moneys may be available, but I missed how to get involved in these projects. We also need to be sure that funding by the AIUM Education and Research Fund is available to the sonographer to support research. Does anyone know if this will be the case? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
