Re: U/S contrast agent use for tubal patFrom: NoraC777@aol.comThu Aug 6 17:37:28 1998
Thanks so much for the input about Albunex. I work for an OB/GYN (among others) who is interested in using the contrast agent for fertility workups on about 3 patients at this time. We do sonohystography mainly for interrogating abnormalities of the endometrium. I (as the sonographer) have had about 3 years experience with this procedure. However the protocol for use of the Albunex or Sonohist seems to vary from practice to practice. Am I correct to think that the contrast agent could be administered after the saline injection? I would like to know that I would get some useful information from the initial exam and not use the first patient for "practice". Your concise information in the Email you sent would help us in our decision with these patients. I'd like your permission to reprint it and show it to this physician. I won't reprint it until you let me know. Thanks Nora Carroll R.D.M.S., R.V.T.
