Hi Terry- I am a vascular technologist in Cincinnati, Ohio. I deal with venous thrombosis nearly every working day. I often see cases where the patient is currently taking loads of blood thinners and can not tolerate any more but yet they are still dealing with the agonizing pain of DVT's. It is simply not enough to put in an IVC filter and expect the patient to deal with the pain. I think it would be interesting for you to explore the use of ultrasound to break up clots, hopefully allowing them to be more susceptible to the blood thinners and less painful for the patient. If you would not mind, I would love a copy of your presentation. Could you email it to me afterwards? I think the future of ultrasound is boundless and am excited to be part of an ever changing field. Trisha tmay@midwestultrasound.com

Folks, I have been asked to speak on this topic:

Sonography in the USA, current & future possibilities

I have a pretty good idea of what I want to talk about, but would appreciate any suggestions, just so I don’t over-look anything. Thanks, Terry Terry J. DuBose, M.S., RDMS, FSDMS, FAIUM
