Regarding Renal Pelvis DilationFrom: saurabh sharda (sharda.saurabh@gmail.com)Mon Nov 24 01:53:00 2008
Dear Sir, This is with respect to one discussion i saw on your board (obgyn.net) regarding renal pelvis dilation. Our baby had a normal second level sonography. At 26 weeks we had another sonography for fetal echo. There the Sonographer said that there is a mild Renal Pelvis Dilation of 8 mm and a follow-up sonography will be required. At 32 weeks we went for Level-III sonography, which concluded that the RPD has increased to 12 mm. Our doctor said that its unilateral and not much to worry about she suggested one more sonography at week 34. And the baby may have to go through a sonography two weeks after birth. Kindly tell us if its a cause of real concern. And whether something can be done so that we can have a healthy baby. Thanking you in anticipation.
