Dear Prof Zalel, I am sorry I accidentally started a discussion that got sidetracked into a very non-US discussion that obviously turned you off. We sometimes let our passion outrun our sense! Please honor me with the answer to this question: What is your practice setting? What is your location? Do you routinely check or expect your sonographers to check the cervix in the second trimester? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
