... This means there SHOULD BE NO FREE CARE... if you want effective therapy. Proportional copays are good! Most of what we give is advice. Patients will sometimes listen better if they are paying for it.

Just a thought

Just a thought:

ASK your doc for a generic. Unless you have tried two or three generics that don't do the job, there are few areas of medicine where only ONE branded drug does the trick. BTW this is not all one sided: durgs that you pay through the nose for are TWICE as effective. A recent study showed double the pain relief (70%) by a placebo that people thought was expensive when compared to the same placebo that people thought was cheap (35%)...

Hmmmmmm.....

One thought is to check out Wal-Mart's generic drug program - 30 day supply costs ... $4. That's the price, not a copay. Art ------------------

Thanks. That's a thought. We'll look into it, but so far only one of mine is ------------------ a generic. All the others (3) are still in patent. By our paying for it at ------------------ Wal-Mart, our insurance would not be a part of the transaction at all. I ask the representative. She liked the idea. Of course, that means the insurance company is out nothing even though we are still making our monthly premium payments.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
