Re: Ultrasound ReimbursementFrom: Beithon, Jill (jill.beithon@siemens.com)Sun Jan 27 16:01:20 2008
To respectfully reiterate the comment posted earlier by Cheryl Norris, please use the term sonographer rather than technician. Sonographers greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Jill Beithon RT, RDMS, RDCS, RVT "Sonographer" -----Original Message----- From: ultrasound@obgyn.net [mailto:ultrasound@obgyn.net] On Behalf Of Josh Pearson Sent: Sunday, January 27, 2008 3:32 PM To: Multiple recipients of list ULTRASOUND Subject: Re: Ultrasound Reimbursement I think that you misunderstood my post. All ultrasounds are read by myself. If the technician sees something concerning during the scan then I come in and observe the ultrasound but if there is not something concerning I read the scans at the end of the day.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
