Re: Important PBS series in MarchFrom: Terry DuBose (terrydubose@sbcglobal.net)Sun Jan 27 10:40:20 2008
Good points. However, you did not address the question of, "... is whether big business is more humane than big government when it comes to health care."? Let's not confuse corporate medicine with "fee for service" of days gone by. Fee for service was capitalism, but I can't call corporate medicine capitalistic. I don't know what to call it, but it does not seem very much like a free market from the patients' point of view. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
