Most people use medicare reimbursement guides. We charge about 250% of medicare allowable. Roughly 60% is the technical component and 40% is the professional component. Example we charge $227 for code 76830 which is a vaginal gyn ultrasound. Medicare par allowable is $92. We receive $113 from Blue Cross Blue Shield.

P.S. Respectfully, we do not care for the term technician as I'm sure your sonographer will tell you.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
