Re: Bachelors in Diagnostic Medical SonographyFrom: DuBose, Terry (DuboseTerryJ@uams.edu)Wed Nov 21 08:41:26 2007
Anthony is correct. We have one graduate (1998) doing self-contracting in echocardiography in Houston that reports she makes $180,000 a year. Of course, she has to live in and drive the freeways of Houston. She also did not indicate if that is net or gross. Terry J. There are companies that specialize in advising people who are interested in that route. Good luck. I agree, I need to enjoy what I am doing. Money is a factor for me also. CRNA's make $140,000+/year with just 2 and 1/2 years of schooling after BSN. Granted, this is if you are accepted and the 1-2years ICU experience. Are their any advancement opportunities comparable to this with DMS? I have started one career (fire department/EMT) that ended because I saw the advancement ladder and could not comfortably support my family before or after retirement. Thank you, J. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
