The placenta has a rather normal aspect, not mola-like at all. To my opinion this is could be an extreme case of adenomyosis

We have a current case on which an opinion is requested. Please take a look at this case and let the physician know if you think it is a coexisting mole/

Dr. Mohile, it certainly does look like a co-existing mole. however, let us post it and get more opinions.

Donna, can you post these images right away and let me have the URL so we can call for opinions. I have already clipped the patient's ID. Please use this text:

"Please opine on this usg.G4P1 with 2 previous vesicular moles has 16 weeks live foetus, normal looking placenta and fluid. Entire myometrium shows change almost like mole, which is highly unlikely. So is this mole? Please help.

Dr. Mohile nilamohile@hotmail.com

Thanks, Terry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
