Re: Clinical Verification on ARDMS exam formFrom: Paula Woletz (pwoletz@aium.org)Fri Jun 22 09:42:22 2007
The "Notes About the Prerequisites" on the ARDMS website stipulates, "Clinical ultrasound/vascular experience may be obtained one of two ways (1) being employed as a full-time ultrasound/vascular sonographer in a clinical setting for 12 months or (2) successfully completing a formal, full-time program that is a minimum of 12 months in length and includes appropriate clinical and didactic hours....ARDMS does not accept volunteer, instructorship, unpaid, barter, or veterinarian experience." The best person to verify your hours would be either the supervising sonographer where you work (or worked) or the director of the program where you trained. Paula

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
