שחר שלום! אשמח לשתף פעולה. אני מנהל יחידת אולטרה סאונד ועוסק רבות בזרימה בעוברים ובגידולים ממאירים בשחלות. פרופ' רוני טפר מנהל יחידת אולטרה סאונד נשים ויולדות מאיר כפר סבא tepper@clalit.org.il -----Original Message----- From: ultrasound@obgyn.net [mailto:ultrasound@obgyn.net] On Behalf Of Shahar Seifer Sent: Friday, April 13, 2007 9:59 PM To: Multiple recipients of list ULTRASOUND Subject: Remote 3D flow measurement and scanning We discovered a unique array detection and analysis which allows determining directly a flow vector and a flow rate in a vessel. The method relies on forward scattering of ultrasound by flow. The advantages include possibility to measure other fluids than blood and a wider window for the scan. Measuring Phase shift variations provides the forward component of velocity at a rate of up to 200KHz. The innovation is in the way to acquire transverse velocity components from the forward scattering. Besides the average velocity we also obtain the velocity distribution and conclude about the presence of eddies in the flow. We expect best performance to be achieved in a hybrid with standard ultrasound imaging based on ultrasound backscattering. See our poster in the site: http://www.array-ka.com A license is available from Yeda company of the Weizmann Institute of Science: http://www.yedarnd.com/ We would like a physician to join us who can demonstrate clinical advantages of the method, although we still have limited technical means so far. At this stage a theoretical understanding of the clinical benefits is most welcome. Shahar Seifer, PhD, Weizmann Institute of Science & ArrayKa

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
