ultrasound for birth traumaFrom: selfone@yahoo.comThu Mar 1 14:30:53 2007
I would like to get your opinions on ultrasound for birth trauma. The labor history included arrested second stage, failed vacuum, and c-section. cephalohematoma and scalp bruise were found then. No further exam done. But now the mother concerned about risk for other injury like intracranial hemorrhage. Just wonder whether ultrasound is worth to do now because it is several weeks for the lesion to disappear now. what appropriate to do. By the way, the skin lesion looked very thick, took more than 2 weeks to heal, which should be within several days as reference. Your suggestion is appreciated. --------------------------------- Never miss an email again! --------------------------------- Yahoo! Toolbar alerts you the instant new Mail arrives. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
