Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute is holding a 2-day, hands-on course on fetal echocardiography on November 14-15, 2006 at our facility located in St. Pete Beach, Florida. 16 AMA Cat. 1 CME credits offered.

Topics covered will include:

• Doppler fundamentals • Fetal cardiac anatomy/physiology • Fetal heart screening overview: indications/applications and exam limitations • 4-Chamber and Beyond: standard views, chamber size, position/situs • Identifying outflow tracts/great vessels (arch and ductus) • Fetal heart rate/rhythm • Left and right heart defects • Heart failure • Non-congenital heart disease • Interactive case studies mock testing module • Hands-on sessions

PS. For those planning on taking the fetal echo registry, Dr. Huhta will conduct an interactive case studies mock testing module, as part of this course, to help in preparation for taking the fetal echocardiography registry exam.
