Ranzini et al describe "the divot sign" which might be useful to hone in on nuchal cords which may potentially pose a real risk ...

"A 38-year-old woman, gravida 2, para 1–0–0–2, presented at 39 weeks’ gestation for evaluation of fetal size, which was normal. Imaging of the posterior fetal neck showed two semicircular hypoechoic areas that disrupted the smooth contour of the fetal neck, compressing the skin in that area (Figure 1). We refer to this finding as the divot sign."

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
