Dear Dr Delaney, I am a french OB/Gyn ECFMG certified with Step 3 my current main activity in Paris consists in OB/Gyn echography. I want to move to the States, I accomplished already 4 years and a half of residency in France + PGY 5 and PGY 6 also in France but no prior training in the US. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
