Early screen with NT, Free Beta HCG, PAPP-A, and Maternal Age. A cautionary tale - have already had one False Negative - 27 y/o who had low risk 1st TM screen had 2nd TM serum screen performed by her OB read as high risk for Down's. After counseling, the patient elected amniocentesis at which time Trisomy 21 was discovered. As Yogi Berra so aptly put it, "It ain't over til it's over."

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
