Hi,

This is not always 100% true. An unlike sex twin pair of Turner's & normal male has been reported. If they had a NL you would expect that they would be discordant.

As a % of normal, mosaics are rare. As a % of aneuploids, more common.

11-12 weeks with discrepany nuchal tranlucency measurements on monochorionic twins. This has been described, by of course Nicolaides, and we have also observed this. Since monochorionic twins should be monozygotic, differences in nuchal translucency measurements cannot be explained by the karyotype.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
