Art TTTS in its classical sense is unlikely to be the cause of this. If he's not just witnessing fetal demise in evolution don't be surprised if it turns out to be a TRAP sequence or discordance for structural abnormality 5X more common in monozygotics). Keep us posted. Greg Dr Greg Kesby Subspecialist In Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Head of High Risk Obstetrics. Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Sydney, Australia.
> ----- Original Message ----- David i have a colleague who has a case of monochorionic twins of about 8wks gestation. the amniotic fluid surrounding one is quite diminished when compared to that surrounding the other, to the point at which later in gestation oligohydramnios would be diagnosed. one fetus also subjectively appears "plumper." sonars will be repeated serially but at first glance, this appears an interesting, albeit potentially sad, case. art

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
