-----Original Message----- From: David Pasa [mailto:davidpasa@yahoo.com] Sent: Sunday, January 30, 2005 11:26 AM To: dubose@io.com Subject: Ultrasound/Sonographic Study Materials Donation Dear Sir/Madam Re: Request for Ultrasound/Sonographic Study Materials Donation What a privilege it is to write to you. I am a male Zambian national residing in Zambia, who holds a Diploma in Medical Diagnostic Radiography and practicing as such for 7yrs and now a Medical Student. I have struggled to acquire an education up to this level, that it to say I have fundraised for my own education since my fourth grade of elementary/primary school as I had both parents dead then. This same spirit of being resourceful has permeated my desire to acquire competence in ultrasound skills. Realising the need for ultrasound expertise in my hospital I had to seek help from a number of people and luckily someone has donated a Two-Dimension System Ultrasound Scanner to me personally, which I have placed in our department for use. However I need to acquire additional guided training on how to carryout specialised scanning procedures. Admittedly, it is almost impossible for an individual to sponsor oneself for training from this part of the world, as funds are utterly unavailable and I cannot easily purchase such study materials for now. Fortunately, we have a Nigerian Volunteer Medical Doctor who has come to our hospital and is skilled in ultrasound and he has recommended that I source the following study materials which I am soliciting for a donation from you and your colleagues, that may be in a position to assist. Teaching and Demonstration CD - ROM's, Books and Manuals on; - Abdominal Ultrasound - Breast Ultrasound - Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound - Vascular Ultrasound Technology - Fetal and Adult Echocardiography - Ultrasound Guided Biopsy & Aspiration - Prostate Ultrasound My Colleagues and I will benefit greatly from your assistance. I look forward to your helpful response Yours Sincerely

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
