A 25 yr. old primi gravida came for a routine check up. On usg there is this strange band on the right flank of the amniotic cavity, running antero-posteriorly. Anteriorly, I feel the band actually meets the placental edge. No fetal part is seen trapped by the band. My query-- do you agree -- is this an amniotic band? Joe.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
