Yeah all our machines have a DVD burner and we burn a free DVD to all parents who wants one. Works pretty simple. -----Original Message----- From: ultrasound@obgyn.net [mailto:ultrasound@obgyn.net] On Behalf Of Brooke Cregor Sent: Tuesday, January 04, 2005 12:20 PM To: Multiple recipients of list ULTRASOUND Subject: Re: JAMA article Art, Geddes Keepsake seems to address a market demand from expectant families to show off the fetus to friends and family. While addressing market demands, it is often thought to be unnecessary and potentially excessive use of ultrasound that some feel might interfere with the fetus development. We have seen a nice cost effective solution that is just hitting the market that allows any Sonographer to address the market demand for both physician's electronic medical records, and potentially keepsake purposes without actually subjecting the fetus to additional ultrasounds. This product is a simple addition to any ultrasound and can be hooked up as easily as installing a video printer to your ultrasound. http://www.medicapture.com/usb100_intro.htm Any thoughts on this solution as an alternative to a strictly keepsake company run by potentially unqualified sonographers? One of the key points is that amusement and diagnosis may not be mutually exclusive. Berkeley Geddes, an originator of online job search site FlipDog.com, started Geddes Keepsake Inc as a way to incoporate "keepsake" services into Diagnostic Labs. More info to be found here - http://www.geddeskeepsake.com. oh - just want to say that i am in no way affiliated with Geddes. Any thoughts? art

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
