We had similar cases , two actually. In both the pts. cyst on one side regressed and the other persisted and regressed on there own. We have unilateral cysts ( with or without ) growing as the pregnancy advanced. We do not interfere unless the cysts become systomatic to urge us to do lap. In most cases the cysts were either simple serous cysts ( cyst adenomas ) or persistant functional cysts. Only one case of theca lutein cysts , bilateral, were seen by us.

About one year ago we had a patient (oriental, if I recall correctly) with huge bilateral ovarian cysts. The pregnancy was otherwise normal. We sectioned her because of concern about these cysts causing dystocia, and confirmed that they were theca lutein cysts. The baby did fine and the cysts went away eventually.

I would like to ask your opinion about a case. The patient has a 10 weeks spontaneous pregnancy with bilateral (7cm and 10 cm) adnexial cysts, probably we thought they are techa lutein cysts. The patient has been complaining mild abdominal pain, without acute abdomen singns. From evsono@pipeline.com Thu Nov 4 06:40:33 CST 2004 >From nobody@medispecialty.com Thu Nov 4 06:40:29 2004
