Re: routine fetal ob rvot/lvotFrom: Allen Worrall (jworrall@alaska.net)Wed Jul 21 09:04:03 2004
Absolutely essential. The four chamber view will miss lots of things. It is very easy, and with those cases where you can't see one or the other outflow tract with gray scale, color Doppler will almost always demonstrate the tracts for you and reassure you that the blood is flowing in the expected direction. Just be sure and use a fetal echo preset. Allen Joseph A Worrall MD RDMS OB/GYN Ultrasound at the Fairbanks Clinic Fairbanks, AK 99701 http://www.obgynsono.com

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
