Re: BPP & fetal toneFrom: Dave Berck (djberck@yahoo.com)Mon Nov 10 13:32:02 2003
I'm pretty sure Frank Manning would consider any gross body movement to get 2 points for movement. Any movement of the fingers would get 2 points for tone. If the fetus has a clenched fist for the entire 30 minute study, 2 points would be given, although this is quite rare. Movement without tone can happen, but is probably a once or twice in a career finding. Then again, I could be wrong.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
