I just got the following question from a sonographer in Florida. I had always assumed that Fetal Tone was like opening and closing the hand, but body movements were more like the fetus rolling over or making more large (gross) movements. These are scored separately, but I didn't have a good answer to this. " who is having a disagrement with the doctor regarding Biophysical Profile. She said that the doctors feel that you "can't have no fetal tone and have movement". Evidently, she disagrees and is wondering where she can find some information. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
