Re: Scanning the lower UT segment post prior C-section to evaluate VBACFrom: art fougner, md (evsono@pipeline.com)Mon Oct 27 06:42:26 2003
Rich the best time to evaluate the healing lower segment is prior to the next pregnancy. Using TVS, a wedge - shaped defect in the area of the Cesarean incision suggests a potential problem. This finding, however, has not been subjected to randomized trial of VBAC to evaluate its predictive value for uterine rupture. art

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
