OK, let' s get more serious. I am working on a case of monochorionic twins with discordant gender, discordant karyotype on fibroblast culture and mixed blood (both karyotypes - XX,XY) in both's blood lymphocytes at birth - that is the evidence of a common placental circulation, the evidence that the twins were monochorionic, besides sonographic evidence of monochorionicity by a first trimeste scan. Such a case has been published by Souter in the NEJM : Volume 349:154-158 July 10, 2003 Number 2 http://content.nejm.org/cgi/content/short/349/2/154 There must be an infinite range of variation in nature - just look in the animal species. Ciao Wolfgang

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
