I am 13 wks pregnant and at my 12wk ultrasound scan was informed that i had an amniotic band. My baby was normal and developing well and moving freely. I was told this is not uncommon and seemed fine but would be checked at a later scan. As I had never heard of this I decided to look it up and was devastated to read it can cause amputated limbs. I would be very grateful if you could provide me with more information and advice. Thank you Mrs H. Price

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
