I just returned from my 20 week sonogram appt. and had such a band show up on my sonogram. The doctor seemed not sure of what this was and is having me return in a month for another sonogram. The band appeared rather thick and like a shelf across the lower section of my uterus. Please advise.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
