Ultrasound and Corpus CallosumFrom: tina (tinarelocate@earthlink.net)Wed Aug 20 11:55:10 2003
I realise that this is for medical professionals only but I am having no luck being answered on the OB forum as I think that some doctors are unsure about this and it needs to be answered by someone who is a specialist in ultrsound. Please help me as I have tried every other avenue to no avail before writing this. My question is - Is it unusual not to be able to see the Corpus Callosum on level 2 ultrsound at 30 weeks? I have read that you should be able to see it clearly on ultrasound by 26 weeks. My doctor says he thinks he can see it but is unsure and unfortunately that is all he can tell me. I am worried sick about this so can someone PLEASE help me. Is this common not to see this at this time (30 weeks) or should I be worried like I am. Thank you in advance for any help and I really would not have posted here if I didn't have to but know one else seems to be able to help me.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
