Wrongful lifeFrom: Philippe Coquel (philippe.coquel@wanadoo.fr)Fri Aug 15 16:01:20 2003
Some state courts, including those in Delaware, Kansas and Washington, have recognized a cause of action in wrongful life cases. Utah is one of at least nine states that have laws barring lawsuits for wrongful birth or wrongful life claims. Idaho, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania and South Dakota also passed such statutes in the 1990s. Could you tell me what about practising ultrasonography in the states that have recognized a cause of action in wrongful life cases? Is the practice of fetal ultrasonography different from the states that have law barring lawsuits for wrongful life claims? This topic will be discussed in Paris during ISUOG meeting Thanks ph coquel

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
