variance in yolk sac size versus fetus size

I am 8 weeks' pregnant and had my first ultrasound yesterday. At that time it was discovered that my yolk sac appears to be developed at approximately 11 weeks. There was also a definite heartbeat, and the pregnancy is not ectopic. The doctor said not to worry about it "for now," but I am wondering what this discrepancy can indicate?

Thanks.
