Informal Case: Unusual First Trimester AppearanceFrom: Cipriani181@aol.comFri Aug 8 15:17:56 2003
I am 6 weeks 5 days pregnant. The heart rate during an ultrasound I had today had the heart rate at 150. Is this what the babies heart rate will most likely be like throughout the pregnancy? I read somewhere that often in the first trimester it tends to be higher due to continuous development. Is this true? Will the rate slow down as the pregnancy progresses?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
