hi, i am a 21 year old hispanic female and 20 weeks pregnant.i went to the emergency room june 9,2003 and i had a sonogram done and then i was told that my fetus has fetal ascites(fluids in his stomach). now i dont understand how something this is caused andwhat options do i have?? my doctor just repeatadly told me not to worry,but i am and ive been looking up whatever info i can find and every case has been drastic. now i am scheduled for a 4-d sonogram on june 20,2003 and am very nervous about this sonogram. before i do go i would really appreciate whatever you can tell me on these fluids in his stomach. what can they be caused from? i was also told i was rh positive and i was asked over and over if i had a blood transfusion (which no i never have). so please just tell me what you can i would gretaly appreciate it. jackie

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit.
