tranvaginally ortransabdominalllyFrom: Philippe Coquel (philippe.coquel@wanadoo.fr)Fri Jun 6 17:16:56 2003
Very interesting debate at AIUM wednesday about : The first fetal anatomy survey should be performed tranvaginally at 14 weeks instead transabdominally at 18 weeks ?. I agree totally with Ilan E Timor with two scans performed at 13-14 weeks tranvaginally and at 22-24 weeks transabdominally. In France, we have been using this timing for 10-13 years and this a part of guide lines about obstetrical ultrasonography We don't have problems with the patients about the during of the transvaginally examination (10 to 15 minutes in general) Ph Coquel

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
