Accredited DMS Program for Houston... Finally!From: Terry J. DuBose (duboseterryj@uams.edu)Thu May 15 13:49:40 2003
For a city with such a large reputation for medicine as Houston, it has always been a frustration for the sonographic profession that there was no accredited DMS program in the area of Houston. But now there is!!!!! At least in Wharton, just south west of Houston on the Boling Highway (US 59). Congratulations to Wharton County Junior College on establishing this much needed DMS program. For specifics, see: http://www.caahep.org/programs/dms/dms-prog.htm Wharton County Junior College Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program 911 Boling Highway Wharton, TX 77488 979-532-6310 (General concentration) Peace, Terry J. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
