Re: Unilateral, large, hyperechoic kidneyFrom: Terry J. DuBose (duboseterryj@uams.edu)Mon Apr 28 15:46:50 2003
Dr. Recep Has, thanks for this very important follow-up. "On the large hyperechoic kidney side ureteral duplication was detected. There were numerous small cystic structures in this kidney. However the other kidney, ureter and bladder were normal. The pathologist told me that it can't be a ARPCKD. He said that the report will be written after a consultation." We will be anticipating more discussion on this unusual case & question... is it possible it possible to have unilateral infantile polycystic disease? Thanks, Terry Peace, Terry J. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
