I am going to invite the subscribers (readers) to look at a very interesting case. I vote that we post it to the archives. See: http://www.obgyn.net/us/us.asp?page=/us/present/0403/fazeel_fetalvein However, I will also say that my comment on the arterial or venous spectral analysis is reserved until a duplex Doppler sonogram is presented so that the exact location for the sample volume can be determined. Actually a brief duplex video clip would be most instructive by demonstrating the coinciding fetal breathing motions. It is particularly important that we be able to understand the dynamics of maternal/fetal perfusion. Great discussion... now it needs to be made public. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
