Disappearing twin?

Hello,

I am pregnant and had an Ultrasound done at 8 weeks. The ultrasound showed two foetuses and two heartbeats. He said I am pregnant with twins, and it looked like identical twins aged around 7.5 weeks. I keep hearing about disappearing twins syndrome, what is this all about and what are the chances of this happening to me. What are the signs.

Thank you for answering my questions. I am very worried about this.

Also, being pregnant with twins, should I start to show earlier at what point.

Lina
