Suspected ChorioangiomaFrom: Martin Necas (exiled@clear.net.nz)Mon Jan 27 22:25:16 2003
Dear OBGYN.netters, Colleagues, and Ultrasound Friends, After a little bit of an absence from the online community, I would first like to say hello to everyone here. I have just reviewed (with great interest) the case of suspected chorioangioma posted in the informal section under http://www.obgyn.net/us/us.asp?page=/us/present/0212/banovic_corioangioma and I would like to share my thoughts about this image. First, there is no visible placenta around this mass. Second, the mass appears to be within the myometrium. I do not think the mass could possibly be within the placenta, because then there would be no myometrium behind it. I'm therefore proposing that this image represents a uterine fibroid. With many kind regards,
-- Martin Necas.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
